Iron Blade

Offensive branch of the Gear Knight military.^[1], devoted to destruction and conquest.^[2] It is common for the House to hide updates, orders, etc. in storage boxes placed deep in their defenses, where they will go unnoticed by invading forces.^[3] The Iron Blade back on the Gear Knight homeworld resisted the establishment of an Embassy of Gear Knights on Auberean.^[1] It was the Primus of the Iron Blade who initiated the invasion of Dereth, thinking to have located what he deemed the "Empyrean Betrayers", who lured their predecessors into a trap on their world. For a long time, they prepared for revenge, and, because they expected opposition from the other Houses, developed their own Gate technology ^[2]

The Gear Knights on Dereth are cut off from their homeworld by the Iron Blade Primus.^[4] The Iron Blade invasion forces seek to wipe out both the 'renegades' and the Isparians on Dereth. ^[4]
